Although I want to resist the temptation, sometimes the best laid plans often go awry, so I might not eggcel at this. As a kid, I called eggs “eggies,” therefore this place feels like it was created for me. Yes, they went through the pains of making a menu, signage, setting up a business license, hiring employees, sourcing ingredients, and so much more just so I could stop in here once and write this review. I’m that important. Shell we continue with this review? Service Admittedly could be faster, but let’s look at the sunny side (up). The people here are really knowledgeable and kind. They deal with overflow from The Breakfast Republic next door, so I give them a pass for being a little scrambled. Food I got the classic sandwich as a combo. That means it comes with a hash brown and orange juice or coffee. The juice is fresh squeezed and it tempts you from behind the counter as it whirls mesmerizingly. I got the cold brew coffee though because my brain was barely functioning and my morning was not going over easy. The coffee was strong and smooth. The egg sandwich was hearty and tasty. Atmosphere A little small, so you might feel caged if you’re looking at the limited indoor seating but there’s also outdoor seating for those of you who want to get that free range experience. Price What you’d expect from downtown San Diego. There’s a premium that you’re paying. Omelette this one fly. I’m sorry, okay? This review is almost over, and (t)hen you won’t have to read my puns anymore. Recommend? Yes, Eggies poached my tastebuds and my heart. ”

Drove about 20 minutes to get back to my house & it was all still hot & the "What Came First?" Sandwich was still crispy! The worker there was welcoming & friendly, will definitely be going back to try their other sandwiches! French toast jar: the granola on top was delicious & the strawberries seemed fresh & were nicely cut. Potato Hash jar: so delicious, beautifully cooked bacon. What Came First sandwich: super crispy fried chicken, perfectly tangy pickles. The eggscelent sauce is the perfect spiciness. BLT: the bottom bun was soggy (but as I said I drove home first) but of course it had tomatoes so if makes sense. Really, really tasty, the sausage patty was super flavorful! I'll add more to this review if I try more ”
